An honest comparison of the buying experience for an Indian institution.
Edenix is built on FarmBot's open-source Genesis platform. Their hardware designs are released under CC0 and their software under the MIT licence, which is what makes building on them legitimate. We say so on every page that discusses the product.
So this is not a comparison of the engineering — the engineering is substantially theirs and it is good. It compares what an Indian school or university actually goes through to buy, receive, install and support one. Every FarmBot figure below is taken from their own published pages.

They have been doing this since 2016 and we were incorporated in July 2025. They have a global community of thousands, a public forum with years of accumulated troubleshooting, hundreds of institutional deployments, and a track record we simply do not have yet. If your department values a long installed base and an established user community above local support and installation, that is a reasonable thing to weigh, and you should weigh it.
We think the buying experience above is where an Indian institution actually feels the difference. But we would rather you decided that with both sides in front of you.
