A pre-installation checklist. Everything here is worth settling before delivery, not on the day.
The bed footprint is 5 × 10 ft (1.5 × 3 m). Allow room to walk around it — the point of this size is that students can stand on all four sides and reach every plant. You will also need a delivery route into the room.
A raised bed, or the frame we supply. If you already have a raised bed of about the right size, tell us its dimensions when you request a quotation and we will confirm whether the system fits it.
This is a condition of the warranty and a requirement before installation, not a small-print exclusion. Damage from an unstabilised or unearthed supply, surge or lightning is not covered. If your lab does not already have a stabilised point, sort it out before delivery.
A water source and a connection point within reach of the bed. Ordinary municipal or tank supply is fine.
Edenix ships with an on-premise Raspberry Pi 5. The web app and the assistant run on your own network, the machine works through internet outages, and no data leaves your campus. Local Wi-Fi is optional and only needed if you want to reach the system from outside the lab.
One nominated teacher or lab assistant to take the training handover. We do not leave until they have run a sequence themselves.
Print this page and tick these off before the delivery date.
Send us a photo of the room and we will tell you what needs doing before delivery.
